Honda Patented The 2025 Scoopy Design In India, Launch Still Doubtful

Honda has once again filed a design patent for its popular neo-retro scooter Scoopy in India. However, experts believe that there is no possibility of this scooter being launched in India soon. Even before this, design patents of Scoopy have been registered in India, but no concrete steps have been taken towards the launch.

Honda Scoopy is currently being sold in Indonesia and its 2025 version has also been updated for there. There are not many changes in the design of this model. It gets a curvy front apron, which has a round shape LED headlamp and D-shaped turn indicators. Its overall look gives a modern touch with retro, which may especially be liked by young riders.

The scooter gets a 109.5cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which generates 9 bhp of power and 9.2 Nm of torque. It is paired with a CVT gearbox, which makes everyday riding smooth.

Talking about the build, the Honda Scoopy is based on an underbone chassis. It gets telescopic forks at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear. For braking, disc brakes have been provided at the front and drum brakes at the rear.

Talking about the features, the scooter gets LCD instrument console, keyless ignition with smart key, anti-theft alarm, and a single-piece seat, which further improve the ride and comfort.

At present, there is no official information from Honda regarding the launch of Scoopy in India. But repeated patent filings indicate that the company may consider bringing this stylish scooter to the Indian market in the future.
