Suzuki has updated its mid-weight adventure tourer bike V-Strom 800DE in India. The 2025 model is now compliant with OBD-2B emission standards, which is required under the new rules of the Government of India. Although there are no changes to its mechanical features, Suzuki has added three new paint schemes to keep it visually fresh. It has been priced at ₹ 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the bike will be available only at Suzuki’s large-capacity bike dealerships.
Three new colours, three new looks
The new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is now offered in three all-new colour options that make its look more powerful.
- Pearl Tech White: This variant comes with a white base colour and has blue spoke wheels, which give it a classy and trendy look.
- Champion Yellow No.2: This colour reflects Suzuki’s traditional identity, with a great combination of dark panels and blue rims.
- Glass Sparkle Black: This option is for those who like a slightly subtle look, with black rims and layering of grey-red graphics.
Powerful performance, same reliable engine
The V-Strom 800DE is powered by the same 776cc parallel twin engine, which comes with a DOHC head and 270-degree crank. This engine delivers V-Twin style performance with a balance of strong torque at the low-end and smooth revving at the top-end.
- Maximum power: 84 bhp @ 8,500 rpm
- Maximum torque: 78 Nm @ 6,800 rpm
Strong body and perfect suspension for adventure
The chassis of the bike is made of steel main frame which makes it rugged and stable. The long wheelbase, straight handlebar and high riding stance make it ready for off-road conditions.
Talking about the suspension, the company has used Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA), which includes long-travel inverted forks at the front and hand adjustable monoshock at the rear.
The bike has 220mm suspension travel (both front and rear) and equal ground clearance, which was not seen in any V-Strom till now.
These features make riding smart
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE has been made not only powerful but also feature rich. Some of its key features are:
- Bi-directional quickshifter, which allows shifting gears without using the clutch
- Three riding modes via the SDMS system
- Traction control with gravel mode
- Two-step ABS system
- Throttle-by-wire technology
- Low RPM assist, which prevents the bike from stalling
- Single push start button, which helps in the instant start of the bike
- 21-inch front and 17-inch rear aluminium rims
- Wire spoke wheels and Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres
