Honda Elevate Hybrid

Honda will launch the hybrid version of its popular midsize SUV Elevate in the festive season of 2026. It will probably get the same 1.5L, 4-cylinder Atkinson Cycle petrol hybrid engine that comes in the Honda City e:HEV. There will be no major change in the design; only the ‘Hybrid’ badge will be added.

New-Gen Kia Seltos

The next-generation model of the Kia Seltos will also knock in 2026, which will have a new hybrid engine and a completely refreshed design and interior. It is expected that it will be given Kia’s strong hybrid technology with a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine. Talking about the features, it can get a 30-inch Trinity display, sliding and reclining rear seats and front and rear ventilated seats.

Next-Gen Mahindra Bolero

Mahindra is preparing to bring its classic Bolero SUV in a new avatar in 2026. This SUV will be based on the new Freedom NU platform. According to the leaked image, its stance will remain the same as the traditional Bolero. It is likely to get a panoramic sunroof, a fully digital instrument cluster, and ADAS features. The old mHawk diesel engine with 75PS can be found as the engine.

Tata Scarlet

Tata Motors will also enter with a new sub-4 meter SUV, “Scarlet”, which will be launched around Diwali 2026. Its design will be inspired by the Tata Sierra. Engine options may also include two 1.2L turbo petrol versions (120bhp and 125bhp) along with a new 1.5L naturally aspirated engine.

Renault Duster (New Gen)

The third-generation Renault Duster will go into production in September 2025 and will be seen on the roads in early 2026. It will get 1.0L naturally aspirated and 1.3L turbo petrol engines. Apart from this, a hybrid version will also come which will have a 94bhp 1.6L petrol engine, two electric motors, and a 1.2kWh battery pack. Its combined output will be around 140bhp.

Maruti Fronx Hybrid

Maruti Suzuki will launch the Fronx Hybrid in 2026 as its first strong hybrid SUV. It will feature a series hybrid system with an all-new 1.2L Z12E petrol engine, which claims to deliver mileage of over 35kmpl. This will be Maruti’s introduction of hybrid technology in the mass-market segment.

Mahindra is also preparing to bring its first hybrid SUV in 2026. According to media reports, the company may launch a new hybrid version (codenamed S226) of the XUV3XO, which will get a strong hybrid system with a 1.2L turbo petrol engine.

Skoda is going to launch its new compact SUV in India soon, which will compete with small and budget-friendly SUVs like Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter. This model is specially designed for urban and small-town customers. It is estimated that its price will start from around ₹ 7.4 lakh. Skoda aims to make a strong hold in this segment by 2026.

Hyundai Creta 3rd Gen Hybrid

Hyundai will launch the third generation of its popular Creta in 2025-26, which will get petrol, diesel, and hybrid powertrains. This new model will offer a balance of performance with fuel efficiency and give Indian customers a better option. With the arrival of the hybrid version, Hyundai’s hold in the Creta segment is going to be strengthened.
