Hyundai’s premium family MPV, Staria, is going to get a major facelift update soon. The company can launch this new version in late 2025 or early 2026. It will first be launched in the domestic market of South Korea, after which it is likely to reach Europe, Middle East and South-East Asian countries. Although there are no plans to launch this MPV in India, it was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 held earlier this year. It is clear from this that the company is definitely studying the customer response to it in India.

Recently, during its testing in the Austrian Alps, a prototype was captured on camera, in which this new model was seen half covered. However, some of its design elements were clearly visible. In the facelift version, the company has used its new design language, but the iconic boxy style of Staria has been kept the same as before.
The spy image also revealed that its front grille will get a new pattern, as well as the bumper has also been slightly updated. At the same time, the LED light bar will remain the same as before, but new graphics will be added to the headlamps. There has been no change in its dimensions – length 5,253 mm, width 1,997 mm and height 1,990 mm with its wheelbase remaining at 3,273 mm.

Talking about the interior, not much information has been revealed about the cabin of the new updated Hyundai Staria at the moment. But it is expected that a new or slightly larger infotainment system, better quality materials and some new features will be added to it. The current model already includes great features like 8-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, heated and ventilated seats, 12-speaker Bose audio system, leather upholstery, power adjustable driver seat, ambient LED lighting and air filter.

There will be no major changes in terms of powertrain. Hyundai may retain its existing engine range – which includes a 2.2 liter diesel, 3.5 liter V6 petrol and a hybrid option. However, these engines can be slightly tuned for better mileage and performance.
The launch of this MPV in India may not be happening right now, but its performance shows that the company is also exploring the possibilities for such premium and spacious vehicles in a market like India. In such a situation, if the feedback is good, then Staria can also be launched in India in the coming time.
The Hyundai Staria facelift is an upgrade that will make it more modern, high-tech and premium. If you are one of those who give importance to luxury and style along with family travel, then this car can definitely be a reason for attraction for you even if you have to wait a little for it.
