In the coming one or two years, both the companies are going to launch many new SUVs, some will be brand new, while some will be updated versions of already existing models.

1. Nissan’s all-new SUV

Nissan is working on a new SUV which will be based on the platform of Renault Duster, but it will be completely different in look and feel. This SUV being built on the CMF-B platform may be launched in India in 2026 and the company can use ‘Kait‘ name for this coming SUV.

Nissan is set to introduce SUVs with a unique design language, extending beyond the exterior to a completely new interior cabin layout. This signifies a comprehensive refresh, promising a fresh and distinct user experience both inside and out.
Talking about the engine, it will get the same powerful 1.3L turbo petrol engine which gives 154 bhp power, as well as there may also be an optional 1.6L strong hybrid petrol engine which generates 140 bhp.
According to the variant and features, its price may be slightly different from Renault Duster.
2. Renault Kiger Facelift

Renault’s compact SUV Kiger is going to get a facelift update this year. The new Kiger will be a bit more muscular in terms of design. It will use new headlamps, front and rear bumper design, refreshed tail lights and new alloy wheels. Also, Renault’s new logo may also debut in India through this car.

There will be no change on the mechanical front. It will get the same 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.0L turbo petrol engine, which will give this car a balance in both performance and mileage.
3. Renault Boreal

Renault is also bringing a new 7-seater SUV to India, which will be named Boreal. This SUV, inspired by the Dacia Bigster, is scheduled to Launch in the Indian market in the second half of 2026.
The wheelbase of the Boreal will be 43mm longer than the Duster and its overall length will be 230mm more, making this SUV more spacious and comfortable. Its size and performance will make it a great new option for 7-seater SUV buyers.

Talking about the engine, the options available in it will be:
- 1.6L petrol strong hybrid engine which will give 140 bhp power
- And 1.3L turbo petrol engine, which generates 154 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
4. New-Gen Renault Duster

There is a lot of excitement about the third generation of Renault Duster as well. This SUV will be launched in the Indian market in early 2026 and it will be much more premium, modern and powerful than before.
This time Duster has also been built on the CMF-B platform. With a powerful engine, this SUV will come with great road presence.
It will have two engine options:
- First, a 1.3L turbo petrol engine generating 154 bhp, which gives 250 Nm torque.
- Second, a 1.6L strong hybrid petrol engine of 140 bhp, which will give a great balance of mileage and performance.
Duster is now coming to give a direct competition to SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Grand Vitara and Skoda Kushaq.
