IM Motors, the EV unit of SAIC Motor Corp, has launched an updated version of its premium electric SUV, the IM LS7. The company has introduced it in a single variant, “Ultra,” with a starting price of $47,310 (approximately ₹39.5 lakh). Those who book by July 31 will get a discount, making this SUV available for $45,900 (around ₹38.3 lakh).
The new IM LS7 is built on an 800-volt high-voltage system and features four-wheel steering, which provides greater driving flexibility. The SUV measures 5,049 mm in length, 2,002 mm in width, and 1,784 mm in height, which is taller than the previous model’s 1,731 mm height. Its wheelbase is 3,060 mm.

This electric SUV comes with an all-wheel drive powertrain. The front motor produces 200 kW, and the rear motor delivers up to 379 kW, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. It has a top speed of 239 km/h.
It is equipped with a 100 kWh ternary lithium-ion battery, offering a CLTC range of 700 km. The SUV can charge from 10% to 80% in just 16.8 minutes, showcasing its high-performance capabilities.
The interior of the updated IM LS7 has also received significant enhancements. It now features the IMOS 3.6.0 software system, which integrates DeepSeek’s advanced language model. Additionally, customers who purchase the vehicle before July 31 will receive free upgrades worth up to $5,900 (about ₹4,98,900) and a color customization discount of around $420 (approximately ₹35,300).
This latest model from IM Motors is not only advanced in terms of technology but has also emerged as a strong contender in the market for both performance and design.
