If you are also one of those auto lovers who have been waiting for the return of Tata Sierra for years, then now your wait is about to end. Tata Motors is preparing to launch its new SUV Tata Sierra this year and believe me, this SUV is going to stir up the market.
The segment in which Tata Sierra is being launched already has popular SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq and Honda Elevate. But this SUV from Tata is coming with a completely different style and feel, which makes it different from the crowd.

In January 2025, at the Bharat Mobility Show, Tata showcased an almost production-ready version of the Sierra, which looked quite impressive. Its front look featured a square headlamp cluster, a new fog lamp design and air intake vents. Talking about the side profile, new alloy wheels, flush door handles, strong body cladding and cameras on ORVM were seen. At the rear, a full-width LED light bar, slab-type tailgate and dual-tone bumper with silver skid plate were also seen.
The Sierra’s cabin will also be amazing, it will get a three-screen setup, which gives a futuristic feel. There will be a new steering wheel in which the Tata logo will be seen with lights. In this vehicle, you will get a touch-based HVAC panel (as was in Tata Curvv), panoramic sunroof, head-up display (HUD), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, ADAS, 360-degree camera and multiple airbags that is, a complete package of safety and comfort.

According to reports, the Sierra will come in two seating options – a standard 5-seater and a 4-seater lounge setup for the special EV version. Its ICE version will be based on the ALFA platform, while the electric model will be based on Tata’s Gen 2 Acti.ev platform.
The ICE version will get 1.5L turbo petrol and 2.0L turbo diesel engine options, with both manual and automatic gearbox options. The EV version is expected to get battery packs similar to the Harrier EV – with options of 65kWh or 75kWh.
Expected Price
The Tata Sierra ICE is expected to have a starting price of ₹10.50 lakh to ₹21.00 lakh (approximately $12,600 to $25,200 USD), making it competitive with models like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The Sierra EV could be priced between ₹25.00 lakh to ₹30.00 lakh (around $30,000 to $36,000 USD), which is reasonable considering its premium electric features and a range of over 500 km.
