Kinetic Watts & Volts has recently patented the design of a new electric scooter, which is reminiscent of the old Kinetic Honda ZX. This scooter, which was popular in the 80s and 90s, can now return in a new electric avatar. This is the same strategy that Bajaj adopted with its Chetak EV and it also got a good response in the market.
In the sketch revealed in the patent, the front apron of the scooter is slim on which the Kinetic logo is clearly visible. The headlight is also kept thin like the old ZX, while the design of the side panels also looks inspired by the classic ZX.

The scooter has 3-spoke alloy wheels and telescopic forks at the front. Apart from this, it is likely to be given a mid-mounted electric motor, although the technical information has not been revealed yet.
The company has not yet shared any official details regarding the launch, but it is clear that Kinetic is once again working towards giving a new identity to its classic scooter. In the coming time, this scooter can compete with electric two-wheelers like Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ather Rizta. Replicating the legacy of ZX in electric form can prove to be an interesting turn for Kinetic.
