Newly designed aero alloy wheels and L-shaped taillights at the rear further strengthen its electric identity. Apart from this, a thin LED light strip is attached to the tailgate, which makes the rear look more modern.

Interrior

Talking about the interior, the Clavis EV has the same cabin layout as the Carens, but with more premium touches. It has a 26.62-inch dual-panoramic display that combines infotainment and digital instrument cluster into one unit. Other key features include front ventilated seats, 4-way power adjustable driver seat, wireless phone charging, 64-color ambient lighting and BOSE’s 8-speaker premium audio system.

Level 2 ADAS and EV-focused Tech

This MPV also proves to be strong in terms of safety. The Carens Clavis EV is expected to get Level 2 ADAS features which include systems like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, high beam assist and driver attention warning. Also, it can have features like tire pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, dual-camera dashcam, 360-degree camera and blind view monitor integrated in the instrument cluster.

Apart from this, the vehicle will also get EV-segment special technology like Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging support, which makes it more practical.

Battery And motor Power

Carens Clavis EV has two different motor setups with two battery packs. The model with 42kWh battery gets 99kW (about 132 bhp) of power, while the variant with 51.4kWh battery gives 126kW (about 169 bhp) of power. Both variants get the same torque of 255Nm. To further improve the driving experience, it has been given four stage regenerative braking, which includes i-Pedal technology and intelligent auto mode.

Talking about charging, Carens Clavis EV has been brought with 7.4kW and 11kW AC charging support for home charging. At the same time, if you use DC fast charging, then this EV gets charged from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes with a 100kW fast charger.

Kia Carens Clavis EV can be a perfect option for customers who want a big, safe and tech-equipped electric vehicle. It is not just an electric vehicle, but a full-size premium MPV that strikes a great balance between range, features and price. In the coming times, it can set a new trend in the electric MPV segment.
