Mercedes-Benz is going to launch the new AMG CLE 53 Coupe on August 12, expanding its AMG range in India. This powerful coupe was first introduced globally in December 2024 and is now going to enter India replacing the C-Class and E-Class Coupe.

In this performance-coupe, the company has given a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder twin-turbocharged petrol engine that generates 443 hp of power and 560 Nm of torque. Apart from this, with the help of 48V mild-hybrid system, 40 Nm of additional torque is also available through overboost.
This power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox, which includes Mercedes’ 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive technology.
The top speed of the AMG CLE 53 Coupe is electronically limited to 250 kmph and the car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds. Braking is handled by 370 mm discs and four-piston calipers at the front, while the rear gets 360 mm discs and single-piston calipers. In terms of looks, the CLE 53 Coupe is fully equipped with AMG Inspired. It gets
- Panamericana grille at the front,
- aggressive bumpers and side skirts,
- quad-tailpipe exhaust,
- and 19-inch AMG alloy wheels.
Apart from this, there are additional vents on the front fenders which improve aerodynamics. The cabin features a C-Class-inspired design that includes
- a large portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system,
- 12.3-inch digital driver display,
- round air vents,
- and special AMG sport seats.
Along with this, the AMG steering wheel and AMG-themed graphics in the digital instrument cluster give an exclusive feel.The CLE 53 Coupe is expected to be priced higher than the current C-Class Coupe in India and will compete directly with sports coupes like the BMW M2 and Audi RS5 Sportback.
Mercedes-Benz is working rapidly towards strengthening its portfolio in India, and the launch of the CLE 53 Coupe is part of this strategy.
