Mahindra is once again going to give a new look to its Thar SUV. This time the changes will not be limited to the exterior design, but there will also be a big update in the interior and features. Launch is expected before the festive season i.e. Diwali. This 3-door SUV will compete with Maruti Jimny and 3-door Force Gurkha in the market.
Mahindra Thar Roxx Design
The look of the new Thar facelift will be more modern and bold than before. Spy shots have revealed that its front look is largely inspired by the Thar Rocks. The grille has been introduced in a new design and is accompanied by signature round headlamps, which will now be LED projector units. New LED tail lamps and stylish 5-spoke alloy wheels have been given at the rear.

Mahindra Thar Roxx Interior
The cabin of the new Thar will come with an all-black theme, but this time many new elements have been added. There will be a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the center dashboard, which will give a more premium feel than ever. At the same time, a 10.25-inch digital display is likely to be available for the driver, as seen in the Thar Rocks.

Another big change will be that the power window switches will now be shifted from the center console to the door panel. Automatic climate control is also expected to be available in the top variant.
Mahindra Thar Roxx Features and Safety
Mahindra Thar facelift has now been made more premium. The SUV will get features like auto AC, 6 airbags, 360 degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, auto dimming IRVM, hill start and hill descent control along with a new upgraded sound system. Not only this, this time there is also talk of getting Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which may include high-tech safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Assist.
Engine Options
The new Thar facelift is going to get 3 engine options:
- 2.0L Turbo Petrol – 152PS power and 320Nm torque, with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options
- 1.5L Turbo Diesel – 118PS power and 300Nm torque, with 6-speed manual gearbox
- 2.2L Turbo Diesel – 132PS power and 300Nm torque, with both manual and automatic transmission

In the new avatar, Mahindra Thar will now be even more stylish, tech-loaded and safe. This is considered a big update in the world of adventure SUVs, especially for those customers who want style and features along with power.
