Bajaj is preparing to strengthen its electric scooter portfolio, and this time it is the turn of the new model of the Chetak brand. The electric two-wheeler segment in the Indian market is becoming more competitive day by day, and in such an environment, Bajaj is going to launch a new scooter called Chetak 3001. It is believed that it can be introduced this week.
No official specifications have been revealed by the company yet, but according to initial reports, this scooter will either be a new option in the existing Chetak series or can completely replace the already existing Chetak 2903. It is expected to get a 3.1 kW electric motor, which can make its top speed around 62 kmph.

The way it is named ‘3001’, it can be guessed that it will be given a 3 kWh battery. This battery will help in maintaining a good balance between power and range, especially for daily commuters.
If you like the classic look of the Chetak, then you will be happy to know that there will not be many visual changes in the new model. Talking about the design, it will remain the same as the current model. Size and dimensions are also likely to remain the same.
The discussion about the price is also interesting. It is being estimated that its ex-showroom price can be kept around ₹ 1 lakh (about $ 1,200), or even less. At this price, the Chetak 3001 can be a great option for those who are looking for an affordable electric scooter, without compromising on brand quality.
