BMW India Achieves Record H1 2025 Sales with 10% Growth, EV Segment Surges 234%

BMW India has recorded its best ever delivery in the first half (H1) of 2025, in which the company achieved a total growth of 10%. The biggest contributor to this growth was BMW’s Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) range, which registered a growth of 17%. There was tremendous demand especially for the BMW X1, which secured the top position with a share of 30% in the premium compact segment (starting at ₹55 lakh / $65,476 for the electric iX1 Long Wheelbase). After this, the BMW X5 was also well liked by the customers (starting at ₹97 lakh / $115,476).

BMW’s electric vehicle strategy is also paying off. The company said that it has got a record-breaking +234% growth in the EV segment, making it the most preferred luxury EV brand in India.

Vikram Pawa, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said, “We have maintained the strong performance of Q1 in H1 as well. Despite the challenging environment, we are growing rapidly with a growth of 10%. From EVs to sedans and SAVs, our long wheelbase luxury cars are in tremendous demand as they offer the best combo of performance and comfort.”

BMW’s Retail.NEXT initiative is also taking customer experience to the next level. The company has invested ₹ 365.6 crore to transform 56 showrooms across 33 cities into digitally advanced and immersive experiences. Also, the service has been made even more reliable with ‘Relax. We Care’ customer support initiatives.

BMW India Financial Services’ Smart Finance schemes such as flexible EMIs, guaranteed buyback and easy upgrades have also attracted customers.

As for the MINI brand, 297 units were sold in H1 2025. Among these, the highest demand was for the MINI Cooper S, which got a growth of more than 60% year-on-year (priced at ₹44.9 lakh / $53,452). Along with this, the electric MINI Countryman E also contributed to the sales (estimated at ₹50 lakh / $59,524).

BMW Motorrad also gave a great performance in the bike segment. The G 310 RR was once again the company’s best-selling bike (priced at ₹3.05 lakh / $3,631), while in the adventure category, the BMW 900 GS / GSA (starting at ₹19.9 lakh / $23,690) and 1300 GS / GSA (starting at ₹20.95 lakh / $24,940) were well received by the biker community. The BMW S 1000 RR was the top choice in the super sport segment (priced at ₹20.75 lakh / $24,702).
