So far Hero MotoCorp had no direct operation in Europe, while the company’s Technology Center (TCG) is already active in Germany. Now this expansion strategy is a big step towards making Hero’s international portfolio even wider.

Talking about India, currently Hero has the only electric scooter Vida V1 available under the Vida brand, which has an ex-showroom price of around ₹ 1 lakh. This scooter has so far reached 100 cities and 150 dealerships in the country.

The company aims to introduce 6 new electric models under the Vida brand by FY26. Apart from this, there is a plan to bring 4 more models in collaboration with Zero Motorcycles. Overall, Hero aims to gain a large share in the global EV segment with a portfolio of 10 electric vehicles in the next few years.

In FY25, Hero exported a total of 4.2 million units, of which it accounted for 2.87 lakh units. Although its export share is currently low, entry into large markets like Europe can open up new global growth opportunities for the company.

Hero MotoCorp is now going to make a big bet in the electric vehicle market of Europe and UK through Vida. This entry with Vida Z is just the beginning, Hero’s EV portfolio is going to get even stronger in the coming years.
