Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle unit Vida is going to launch a new budget friendly electric scooter Vida VX2 in India, whose official unveiling will take place on July 1. Before the launch, information about many features and variants of the scooter has been revealed, which makes it clear that this model is going to give a special competition even while coming in the affordable segment.
VX2 is set to be launched in two variants – Go and Plus, which will be given different battery capacities. It is believed that the Go version can have a 2.2 kWh battery and the Plus version can have a 3.4 kWh battery. Apart from this, both variants are expected to get a removable dual swappable battery setup, which makes a range of about 100 kilometers possible on a single charge.

In the leaked pictures, the scooter has a small TFT display and keyhole, which makes it somewhat different and budget-centric from the Vida V2. Its lower variants will get drum brakes, while the front disc brake will not be given.
Talking about the design, the Vida VX2 will have a minimal and clean look. This scooter will come in seven single tone color options like White, Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Black and Grey, which are different from the dual-tone scheme of the V2.
The possible ex-showroom price of this scooter can be ₹ 1 lakh, making it directly challenging popular electric scooters like Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 Air and TVS iQube.
The company have not shared the official details of the scooter at the moment, but this information has come to the fore based on various leaks and reports.
