Honda has unveiled its new 125cc sports bike CB125 Hornet in India, which will directly compete with the Hero Xtreme 125R. Even before the launch of this bike, its features have created a stir in the two-wheeler segment. The company has introduced this bike with four tremendous color options, and its booking is going to start from August 1, 2025. The price will be announced soon.
Design and Styling

The look of the CB125 Hornet has been kept quite aggressive and sporty. Its front gets a full-LED setup which includes twin LED headlamps, DRLs and high-mounted turn indicators. The muscular fuel tank with sharp tank shrouds and stylish muffler in the side profile further enhance its sporty appeal.
Features and Technology
Talking about the features, it has a 4.2-inch TFT digital display, which supports Honda RoadSync app with Bluetooth connectivity. Through this, the rider gets smart features like navigation, call/SMS alert and music control. Apart from this, universal USB Type-C charging port, engine stop switch and side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor have also been provided.
Suspension and Braking
This bike comes with Golden USD front forks for the first time in its segment, which not only give a premium feel in looks but also provide better stability. A 5-step adjustable mono-shock absorber is available at the rear. For braking, 240mm petal discs have been provided at the front and 130mm drum brakes at the rear. Single channel ABS is included as a standard safety feature.
Engine and Performance
The CB125 Hornet has a 123.94cc 4-stroke SI engine, which generates 11hp of power (at 7500 rpm) and 11.2Nm of torque (at 6000 rpm). This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The company claims that this bike can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, making it the fastest in its category.
Tires and Extra Details
It has wide tubeless tires, 80/100-17 combination at the front and 110/80-17 at the rear. Apart from this, the ignition key has been shifted to the fuel tank which improves both style and convenience.
Honda CB125 Hornet is set to set a new benchmark in its segment on the basis of features, style and performance. Now it remains to be seen how competitive its price makes it.
