Honda City Hybrid Price Slashes by Rs. 95,000. Now available only in ZX trim at Rs. 19.90 lakh

Honda Cars India has drastically cut the prices of its premium strong hybrid sedan, the Honda City e:HEV. The company has discontinued its entry-level V variant, and now only the fully loaded ZX version will be available in the market.

The new ex-showroom price of the ZX variant is now ₹ 19.90 lakh, which is ₹ 95,010 cheaper than before. In May 2025, the price of the same model was increased by ₹ 29,900, but now it has become the only strong hybrid sedan available in India under ₹ 20 lakh.

Talking about the engine, the City Hybrid gets a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine and two electric motors, which together generate 124 bhp of power and 253 Nm of torque.

The Atkinson Cycle system installed in it drives the wheels with one motor while the other motor works to charge the battery. This system is so efficient that this sedan claims to give a mileage of 27.26 kmpl. For power transmission, it has an eCVT gearbox, which drives the front wheels.

Honda City Hybrid is also far ahead on the safety and technology front. It has advanced features like Level-2 ADAS, which include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Mitigation, Lead Car Departure Notification, Lane Keeping Assist, and Auto High Beam. Apart from this, there is also a LaneWatch camera, which shows the left-side blind spot on the infotainment screen.

The interior gets features like an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a sunroof, wireless charging, and an 8-speaker sound system. At the same time, the exterior has all-LED headlamps, DRLs, and dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels.

Talking about safety ratings, the City Hybrid has been given a 5-star crash safety rating by ASEAN NCAP. It has been provided with many safety features like 6 airbags, hill start assist, traction control, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), an emergency stop signal, a rear camera, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

Honda says that in the coming time this hybrid system will also be introduced in the rest of its upcoming SUV range, such as midsize SUVs and 7-seater models.
