Hyundai is preparing to launch the new generation model of its compact SUV Venue in the Indian market with major updates. Recently this vehicle has been seen again during testing, which makes it clear that its production version is almost ready and the launch is not far away.

The biggest change in the new Venue will be seen in the form of Level 2 ADAS system, which is being offered for the first time in this segment. It will include advanced safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and Forward Collision Warning. Along with this, the option of dual-pane sunroof has also been added for the first time, which will help in giving a more premium and open feel to the cabin.

This time Hyundai has not only upgraded the features, but both the interior and exterior design have been redesigned. Talking about the inside, new dashboard layout, updated center console, new upholstery and a larger touchscreen infotainment system are expected. All these changes will make the cabin more modern and user-friendly.

On the other hand, the exterior design includes vertical headlamps at the front, new grille with C-shaped LED DRLs and redesigned front fascia giving the vehicle a bold and mature look. The side profile includes new body panels and updated 16-inch alloy wheels, while the tailgate, bumper and taillamps at the rear have been redesigned. However, it will not get a full-width LED strip like the Creta.

No changes have been made to the mechanical parts. The new Venue will continue to get the same three engine options: 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0 liter turbo-petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engine. The existing options for transmission will also continue which include 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

The launch of the new Hyundai Venue in India is likely to take place during this year’s festive season, which is a major time for buyers in the car market. With all these major updates, the company is preparing to introduce this model as a more premium, safe and smart compact SUV.
