Powerful Engine

The SR 175 is now equipped with a 174.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which gets a three-valve setup. This new engine uses a larger bore, which has increased the power and torque output. Now this scooter generates 12.92 hp power @ 7,200 rpm and 14.14 Nm peak torque @ 6,000 rpm, while the old SR 160 model used to output 11.27 hp and 13.44 Nm.

Chassis And Suspension

Talking about the mechanical components, Aprilia has continued the same frame, suspension, braking system and tyres as the SR 160. The scooter has 14-inch wheels at the front and rear, which have 120-section wide tyres. The braking system has single-channel ABS with disc brakes at the front, while drum brakes have been given at the rear.

Premium display

To further improve the visual appeal of the scooter, Aprilia has introduced a new dual-tone paint scheme in it, which is inspired by their mid-weight sportbike RS 457. It is available in two options – one white and red combination and the other purple and red combination.

Apart from this, a big change in the Aprilia SR 175 is seen in the form of its new TFT color display. This display looks similar to the RS 457 and Tuono 457, but its interface and animations have been made different. This display also gets Bluetooth connectivity, so that users can pair the smartphone through Aprilia’s mobile app and use features like call alerts, notifications and music control.
