Kia India has announced to start booking its first made-in-India 7-seater electric car Carens Clavis EV from 22 July 2025. Customers can book it for ₹ 25,000 through the company’s website or dealership. Its starting price has been kept at ₹ 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Battery Options
Carens Clavis EV is offered in two battery pack options:
- 42kWh battery pack – ARAI certified range of 404km (MIDC)
- 51.4kWh battery pack – ARAI certified range of 490km (MIDC)

Talking about charging, it has support for 100kW DC fast charging, which can charge the EV from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes. It gets two powerful motor options, 126kW and 99kW, both of which generate 255Nm of torque. Also, there are four levels of regenerative braking which can be controlled via paddle shifters.
Talking about features, it is set to set a new standard in the EV segment, The Carens Clavis EV is a feature-loaded electric MPV that reflects Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy. To give its cabin a futuristic touch, it gets a 67.62 cm (26.62″) dual panoramic display panel, which combines the driver display and infotainment together.

- One-touch electric tumble second row seats
- Boss mode and
- Dual pane panoramic sunroof
Also, it has a smart infotainment-temperature control swap switch which makes driving more seamless.

The Kia Carens Clavis EV is placed at the top level in both safety and connectivity. It includes:
- 20 autonomous features with ADAS Level 2 technology
- 18 Hi-Safety features
- 90 connected car features like smartphone integration, remote control, intelligent navigation, etc.
Variants and Colour Options
The Carens Clavis EV has been launched in 4 variants – HTK Plus, HTX, HTX ER, and HTX Plus ER. Customers can choose from 6 colour options, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, and Ivory Silver Matte.
