Kia Carens Clavis EV Launch Expected on 15 July — Check Range, Features & Price

Kia Motors is going to take a new step in the Indian electric vehicle market. The company is preparing to launch the electric version of its popular MPV Carens Clavis. According to the report, this vehicle can be launched in India on July 15, 2025. Although there is no official confirmation from the company yet, but the report of Acko Drive is considering it almost certain.

This electric MPV is expected to have the same powertrain setup as the Hyundai Creta EV. It can get two battery options, a 42 kWh battery which can give a range of about 390 km, and a 51.4 kWh battery which will be able to give a range of up to 473 km. Both these options are being Developed especially keeping in mind those customers who are looking for a reliable and long-range electric vehicle for the family.

In terms of design, the Carens Clavis EV will be similar to its ICE version, but with some EV-focused changes. It can be given three-pod LED headlamps, sharp DRLs, and a closed front grille specially designed for electric vehicles. Apart from this, new aero-design alloy wheels can also be seen in it, which will improve both its efficiency and looks.

Talking about the interior, Kia can give a setup of premium features in it. The car is likely to get a 22.62-inch dual screen layout, which will include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system of the same size. Apart from this, it can also have features like ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and 8-speaker BOSE sound system.

The expected ex-showroom price of Kia Carens Clavis EV can be between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (approximately $19,200 to $24,000 USD). This car will compete with models like Tata Harrier EV and Hyundai Creta EV. Recently, Kia launched the ICE version in the market and now with the electric version, it is trying to strengthen its hold in the EV MPV segment.

If this vehicle is launched on July 15, then it can prove to be an important step for Kia and can also start a new competition in the Indian electric MPV market.
