Kia Clavis EV Bookings Begin at Dealer Level Ahead of Launch – Battery, Range, Features Revealed

Kia Motors India is going to launch its electric MPV Carens Clavis EV in India on 15 July 2025. The official booking of this model will start on the same day, but its unofficial booking has already started at some dealerships.

The Clavis EV will be offered in two battery options. The first variant will come with a 51.4kWh battery pack, which will be capable of giving a 490 km MIDC range (Part 1 + Part 2). The second variant will be with a 42kWh battery, which has an estimated range of around 400 km. Both versions will be given a front-axle mounted electric motor.

In terms of design, the profile of the Clavis EV is similar to the ICE model, but some changes have been made according to the EV. It has a blanked-off front grille, integrated charging port, and aero-optimized alloy wheels. Apart from this, the vehicle has elements like 3-pod LED headlights, DRLs, pixel-type fog lamps, connected LED tail lights, roof rails, and body-colored ORVMs.

The cabin of the Clavis EV is similar to the ICE model, but it has a black-and-white dual-tone theme. It will get 6- and 7-seater layouts; the 6-seater version will have captain seats. The interior includes dual 12.3-inch displays, a panoramic sunroof, a 2-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, ventilated front seats, auto climate control, a wireless phone charger, and a central tunnel with a new sliding tray.

Talking about safety features, it has advanced technology like 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, disc brakes on all four wheels, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and Level 2 ADAS.

Talking about the price, the expected ex-showroom price of the Clavis EV can be between ₹ 16 lakh to ₹ 22 lakh. It has no direct rivals in the Indian market, but it can potentially compete with the MG Windsor EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Hyundai Creta EV.
