Mahindra Bolero Neo 2025 Spy Shots Reveal Defender-Inspired Design and New Features

Mahindra is preparing to introduce its powerful SUV Bolero Neo in a new avatar. Recently it was seen on Indian roads during testing, and the pictures that have surfaced make it clear that the vehicle is now close to full production. According to reports, the company can do its official unveil on 15 August 2025.

The biggest change in the new Bolero Neo will be seen in its design. The exterior of the SUV now looks more muscular and modern than ever. Its front has new circular LED headlamps, which can come with C-shaped DRLs. This design element seems inspired by the Thar Roxx and the upcoming three-door Thar.

At the same time, Mahindra’s signature vertical grille has been retained, and LED fog lamps have also been given space in the front bumper. The overall profile of the SUV looks quite boxy and rugged, which further strengthens its SUV appeal.

A rear-mounted spare wheel, heavy plastic side cladding, and alloy wheels like XUV700 further enhance its aggressive look. Also, flush-fitting door handles give a modern touch to the SUV.

Technically also, this time Bolero Neo will look completely changed. It will now be based on Mahindra’s new NFA, i.e., New Flexible Architecture platform. It is a monocoque chassis that will be able to make the vehicle lighter as well as support hybrid and electric powertrains.

Mahindra will manufacture around 1.2 lakh units at its Chakan plant using this platform. Also, this new SUV will help in meeting the strict CAFE 3 emission norms that will come into force in 2027.

In terms of features, Bolero Neo will now be more upgraded than ever. It will get a touchscreen infotainment system that will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, features like automatic climate control, USB ports for mobile charging, and cruise control will also be provided.

Talking about safety, the company can include features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and traction control.
