Mahindra’s popular SUV XUV700 is now going to make a comeback in a new style. Recently, several testing units of its facelift version have been seen on Indian roads. According to reports, this updated model can be launched in the first quarter of 2025. The company is not limiting this facelift to only cosmetic changes, but is also preparing to add a lot of new things at its interior and technology level.

Slight Smart Changes In The Exterior
It is clear from the spy shots that the front of the SUV will now look sharper than before, as it has a new front bumper and revised headlight unit. In the side profile, the company has retained the old flush-type door handle, but new alloy wheels and possibly new color options can be included in it. In the rear profile, some changes can be seen in the inner design of the taillamp and a new bumper design.

Triple Screen Layout
This time Mahindra is going to specially upgrade the cabin of this SUV. The biggest highlight inside will be the triple-screen dashboard setup, which the company is offering for the first time in this segment. Apart from this, new upholstery, better material quality and revised interior finishing will make the cabin of the XUV700 more premium.

Not only this, the company can also transfer some smart features from its upcoming electric SUV lineup like BE 6 and XEV 9e, which will reduce the gap between ICE and EV models a bit more.
Hybrid Version May Come In Future
There will be no major change in this facelift in the mechanical department. It will continue to get 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel engine options as of now. Both engines will also continue to have the facility of 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. However, Mahindra has clarified that it plans to bring hybrid technology to its mid-size portfolio soon.
Since this is a mid-cycle update, there will be no change in the base platform and size of the SUV. The company’s focus this time is especially on design freshness and cabin upgrades, so that this SUV remains strong even in the new competition.
Interestingly, the company’s next electric SUV XEV 7e has also been seen during testing. This model, which is based on the XUV.e8 concept, can match the XUV700 ICE version in many elements of design and structure. It is clear from this that Mahindra is gradually blending the line between its ICE and EV range.
Overall, this facelift is not just a cosmetic change, but a strategic update – a step towards making the XUV700 stronger before the EV era.
