Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Big record of 1 lakh unit export, new history in SUV market
Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx SUV is making a huge splash in the international market. After entering the global market in June 2023, in just 25 months, this car has crossed the export mark of 1 lakh units, which is the fastest in the country in this segment.
New Benchmark of Export
The demand for Fronx is being seen not only in India but in more than 80 countries around the world – including markets like Africa, Middle East, Latin America and Japan. This SUV is manufactured at the company’s factory in Gujarat.
Top Exporters of The Company

Not only Fronx, Jimny, Baleno, Swift and Dzire are also among the best-performing export models of Maruti Suzuki. During the financial year 2024-25, the company exported a total of more than 69,000 Fronx. Not only this, Maruti Suzuki has been the country’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fourth consecutive year.
Excellent Growth and Presence
In FY24-25, Maruti Suzuki exported a total of more than 3.3 lakh passenger vehicles, which is 17.5% more than the previous financial year. In the first quarter of FY25-26, the company has already exported more than 96,000 units of vehicles and has a record share of 47% in India’s passenger vehicle exports.

Company Management Response
Hisashi Takeuchi, MD and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, expressed happiness over this achievement and said that the company’s Make in India strategy and focus on the international market have been helpful in strengthening the leadership in terms of exports. According to him, the Franx is becoming increasingly popular not only in the Indian market but also in the global customer base.
International Demand and Models
Maruti Suzuki currently exports 17 different models to around 100 countries. South Africa, Japan and Saudi Arabia remain its biggest international destinations.
