JSW MG Motor India is going to launch its first luxury MPV, MG M9, in the Indian market on July 21. This will be the first MPV model in the company’s Indian lineup, which will be sold through premium dealership channels. MG’s electric sports car Cyberster will also be introduced from this network. The company started booking this electric MPV in May 2025 with a token amount of ₹ 51,000.

The MG M9 is powered by a 90kWh lithium-ion battery, which energizes a 245hp motor mounted on its front axle. This motor generates a peak torque of 350Nm. According to the company, this MPV can give a certified range of about 548 km on a single full charge. For fast charging, it has 160kW DC charging support, which can fully charge the car in just 90 minutes. Apart from this, the option of 11kW AC charger is also given for home or office setup, which takes about 10 hours for full charging.
Talking about the design, the exterior of the MG M9 has a squarish profile, so that its cabin space can be maximized. Its front profile is equipped with LED lighting, chrome trims, and headlamps integrated into the bumper. The rear has vertical tail lamps, which are connected to a full-length light bar. The rear bumper also uses chrome elements and sculpted shapes that enhance the premium appeal of the vehicle.

It has a panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, a 12-speaker premium audio system, and presidential seats. The driver and passenger seats can be adjusted 16 ways and have 8 types of massage modes with heating and ventilation.
The MG M9 is not only MG’s first MPV, but it is also a big step for the brand to enter a premium electric segment. In terms of features, size, and performance, this vehicle targets customers who want a balance of luxury and space with EV technology. Its price and variant details will also be revealed with the launch, which will be revealed on July 21.
