JSW MG Motor India has announced that they are going to increase the prices of almost all the cars. The new prices will be effective from July 1, 2025, and the increase can be up to a maximum of 1.5%. However, how much impact will be on which model and variant will depend on the current status of the prices and features. According to the company, this step had become necessary in view of the rising input costs and economic conditions.

With this, MG Motor India is now preparing to enter the Indian luxury car segment. The company is soon going to launch the M9 Limousine, which will be a high-end luxury car. Apart from this, by the end of the year, MG will also introduce its electric sports convertible Cyberster in the Indian market, which will further strengthen the brand’s performance-focused EV range.

The company’s current range starts with the Comet EV priced at ₹ 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom), followed by the Windsor EV at ₹ 10 lakh. Then starts the line of petrol-powered cars, which includes the Astor at ₹ 11.30 lakh, Hector at ₹ 17.5 lakh and Gloster at the top at ₹ 41.07 lakh.

MG Motor is now also creating a new dealership network MG Select for its premium customers, to make the buying experience more exclusive and personalized. The company has also given a glimpse of a luxury SUV concept called Majestor, which could be a more premium version based on the Gloster.
MG’s electric cars also come with a “Battery-as-a-Service” model, allowing customers to buy an EV at a lower cost by separating the cost of the battery – that means affordable start and smart ownership.
Overall, MG Motor is now not only upgrading its existing portfolio, but is also going to make a new Presence in the luxury and EV segment.
