Tata Harrier Electric SUV Gets Massive Response: 10,000+ Bookings in Just 24 Hours

Tata Motors created a stir as soon as it opened the booking window for its new electric SUV, Harrier EV, in India. The company has revealed that within 24 hours of its launch, this powerful EV has received more than 10,000 bookings. Not only this, but its manufacturing has also been started at the Pune plant.

Harrier EV comes in two drive configurations, Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and All Wheel Drive (AWD). The RWD version has a 235 bhp motor mounted on the rear axle. It is paired with two battery options, 65 kWh and 75 kWh. At the same time, another 156 bhp motor has been added to the front in the AWD variant, taking the total output to over 300 bhp and torque to 504 Nm.

The company claims that the QWD variant (AWD) accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds.

  • 65 kWh RWD: 538 km
  • 75 kWh RWD: 627 km
  • 75 kWh QWD: 622 km

Talking about features, the Harrier EV is packed with advanced technology: the SUV gets a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control, level 2 ADAS, powered and ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, remote parking, front and rear inbuilt dash cams, and JBL black speakers that come with Dolby Atmos.

The AWD variant gets extra off-roading features like 6 terrain modes, transparent bonnet view, and off-road cruise control.

Looks and Design:

The design remains largely the same as the diesel Harrier, but with some EV-oriented changes like the closed grille and blue accents to denote its electric status.

Pricing:

Harrier EV prices start at ₹ 21.49 lakh (approx. $25,750 USD) and go up to ₹ 29.74 lakh (approx. $35,650 USD) (ex-showroom) (excluding charger).

This SUV is Tata’s most powerful and advanced electric vehicle and also the brand’s first dual-motor EV.
