Altroz Racer: Powerful performance now with discount
A special edition of Altroz, called Altroz Racer, was launched some time back. This edition comes with the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (118bhp and 170Nm of torque) as the Nexon. The company introduced it in three variants – R1, R2 and R3.
However, this engine or Racer edition has not been included in the facelift version. But the good thing is that the 2024 model Altroz Racer is now available with a huge discount of up to ₹ 1.40 lakh. That is, if you want both power and features, then this deal can prove to be very profitable.
This edition also had premium features like ventilated seats, which are not given in the facelift version.
What’s new in the new Altroz facelift?
The new facelift version of the Altroz comes with 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The petrol version also gets two automatic gearbox options – AMT and DCA. The Altroz is the only hatchback in India that offers a ‘fun-to-drive’ experience with a diesel engine.
The new Altroz features some premium updates like:

- 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment
- 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
- Electric sunroof
- Touch-based AC controls

Price and Variations
The on-road Mumbai price of the new Altroz facelift starts at ₹ 8.13 lakh and goes upto ₹ 13.68 lakh. This means that for customers who want a comfortable hatchback with new features, this is a great option.
But if your priority is powerful performance and a budget-friendly deal, then the Altroz Racer edition is still a great choice – especially with a discount of ₹ 1.40 lakh!
