Launch timeline and platform

The official launch date of Tata Scarlet has not been revealed, but according to reports, it can be launched in the market by 2026 or 2027. This SUV can be based on the ATLAS platform like Tata’s Curvv, which is designed for vehicles ranging from 3.9 meters to 4.5 meters long.

Tata Scarlet Expected Engine options and EV version

Tata Scarlet can be launched with 1.2L turbo petrol and 1.2L TGDi engines, with manual and automatic gearbox options. Also, it is expected to get a new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which will be first seen in Tata Sierra. Given Tata’s strategy, there is every possibility of an EV version of the Scarlet as well.

The Scarlet will be introduced as a premium option in Tata’s SUV lineup, something similar to what Kia is doing with its Sonet and Syros. Apart from this, the company is working on several new products like the next-gen Nexon, Avinya EV, and the new Sierra by 2027.
