Tesla has finally made some important changes to its luxury electric sedan Model S, which were long overdue. While the car’s exterior design gets minor changes, it has been improved inside and technically.
Changes From Inside
There is no major change in the new Model S from the outside. However, some subtle but important improvements have been made. Now its headlights are getting adaptive beam feature and the internals of the taillights are also new. Especially the bumper of the Plaid variant has been designed in a new and sharp look, which improves aerodynamics.

New Wheel Design And Attractive Color Options
Tesla has introduced new wheel designs for all Model S variants. The Model S AWD comes with 19-inch wheels as standard, with 21-inch wheels offered as an option. The size of the wheels for the Plaid version is also the same but the design is kept different. Apart from this, a new ‘Frost Blue’ paint option has also been introduced, which costs $2,500 (about ₹ 2 lakh).
Subtle But Smart Touch In The Cabin
There are no major changes in the interior, but now it includes “dynamic ambient lighting”. This lighting system gives a special animation on the dashboard and doors when entering the car, which gives a premium feel.
Now More Smooth And Silent Driving Experience
To make the Model S more comfortable, Tesla has made several engineering improvements in its suspension system. Suspension bushings and hardware have been upgraded, which has made the ride quality better than before. Also, body seals and welds have been fine-tuned to make the cabin more quiet. The Active Noise Cancellation system has also been updated, so that the outside sounds will now be heard less.
Tesla S Updated Model Get Better Performance With Longer Range
The range of Tesla Model S has also improved slightly. The AWD version can now run up to 410 miles (about 660 km) on a single charge, up from 405 miles earlier. At the same time, the Plaid variant now offers a range of 368 miles (about 592 km), up from 359 miles earlier. However, if you choose 21-inch wheels, the range may decrease slightly.

Prices have also increased with these updates. The new starting price of the Model S AWD has gone up to $86,630 (about ₹ 72.3 lakh), while the Model S Plaid is now available for $101,630 (about ₹ 84.8 lakh). Before the update, the standard Model S was $74,380, and the Plaid was $89,380.
It is worth noting that the Model S was first launched in 2011. There were not many changes in it in the last few years. While the Model 3 was updated in 2024 and the Model Y in early 2025, the Model S and X have only now received the necessary improvements.
