If you are planing to buying Toyota Fortuner or Legender, Then there is some bad news for you. The company has increased the prices of both these SUVs. However, this increase is limited to only a few variants, and However There are no any changes have been made in the features or specifications.
The new prices have biggest impact on the Toyota Fortuner 4×2 variant, whose price has been increased by ₹ 68,000 (approx. $815). Apart from this, the price of Fortuner 4×2 diesel manual and automatic variants as well as Fortuner 4×4 diesel manual version has also increased by ₹ 40,000 (approx. $480).
There is also some disappointing news for customers who want to buy Toyota Legender. The price of its 4×4 diesel manual and automatic versions has also been increased by ₹ 40,000 (approx. $480). it means, now Legender has also become a little more premium.

Toyota Fortuner continues to get two engine options ,a 2.7-litre petrol engine and a 2.8-litre diesel engine. Both engines come with 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmission.
Talking about the price, now the ex-showroom price of Fortuner starts from ₹ 36.05 lakh (approx. $4,3260) and goes up to ₹ 52.34 lakh (approx. $6,2830).
Recently, Toyota also launched Neo Drive versions of Fortuner and Legender, which are equipped with the company’s new 48-volt technology. In this Neo Drive edition, the 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine is paired with a 48V system, which includes a belt-integrated starter generator and lithium-ion battery.

The company claims that due to this hybrid system, the initial acceleration and driving of the car has become smoother, the engine sound is less audible and fuel efficiency has also improved.
The ex-showroom price of Fortuner Neo Drive 48V is ₹ 44.72 lakh (approx. $5,3660), while Legender Neo Drive 48V is now available for ₹ 50.09 lakh (approx. $6,0110).
If you are planing to buying Fortuner or Legender from a long time, then now these vehicles have become a bit more expensive. But if you want better mileage, smooth performance and premium experience, then the Neo Drive version can prove to be a better option for you.
