The company plans to launch a total of 30 vehicles by 2030, of which 23 will be facelifted and updated models and 7 completely new nameplates will be introduced.

Tata Sierra will be launched first as an electric variant (Sierra EV), after which its ICE version (petrol/diesel engine) will be introduced. According to reports, the company plans to position it as a premium mid-size SUV between Tata Curvv and Harrier.

The new Sierra will come with a completely fresh design and advanced EV technology. It has been seen on Indian roads several times during testing, which confirms that Tata is very serious about it.

Tata had already announced a sub-brand called Avinya, which reflects the company’s premium EV segment. Avinya’s design, range and features make it completely different from Tata’s existing products.

Tata Harrier was till now available only in diesel engines, but now Tata is preparing to Launch it in a petrol version as well. The company’s new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which was introduced in October 2023, will be seen in Harrier petrol too.

This engine is capable of delivering 168 bhp of power and 280 Nm of torque. It is likely that it will get a 6-speed manual and a new 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. This new powertrain will also be included in Safari later.

Tata’s Upcoming Nameplates: Expansion in both ICE and EV segments

Tata has clarified that out of the 7 new upcoming cars, four will be electric vehicles and three ICE models. This means that the company is maintaining a balance in both EVs And ICE Segments. Tata Motors currently has 8 active nameplates, but by 2030 this number will increase to more than 15.

Tata Motors is no longer limited to just facelifts or minor updates, but the company’s focus is completely new and innovative models. In the coming years, new products like Sierra EV, Avinya and Harrier Petrol will further strengthen the company’s portfolio and further strengthen its presence in the market.
