If you are looking for a high-performance electric SUV, then Xiaomi’s new upcoming Xiaomi YU7 can be a great option for you. The company’s CEO Lei Jun has recently confirmed that the Xiaomi YU7 will be launched by the end of June. This will be Xiaomi’s second SUV.
The design of the Xiaomi YU7 is inspired by the SU7, giving it a modern and distinctive look. Its length of 4999 mm, width of 1996 mm, and height of 1600 mm, along with a wheelbase of 3000 mm, makes it comparable to mid-to-large SUVs

The use of 2200MPa ultra-high-strength steel in the door beams has strengthened the YU7’s side safety. This has increased the front door strength by 52.4% and energy absorption by 40.2%, while the rear door strength has improved by 37.6% and shock absorption by 25.4%. These changes make the cabin safer during side impacts.
This SUV is based on the Nvidia Drive AGX Thor platform, which has a computing power of 700 TOPS. It includes LiDar, 4D millimeter-wave radar and 7 ultra-clear cameras, which make it ready for automatic driving.
Xiaomi YU7 has a luxury dual-zone surround cockpit. It has a 1.1 meter Mini LED screen, which is divided into three sections and can project different information cards simultaneously. A movable control screen has also been provided for the rear passengers.
Talking about power, YU7 will come in two versions: single motor and dual motor. The dual motor version will give a maximum power of 681 hp (508 kW) and its top speed will be 253 km/h. This SUV will have two battery options COM, NMC and LFP, which will be supplied by CATL.

The standard version will have a range of 835 km, Pro version will have a range of 770 km and Max version will have a range of 760 km. The battery capacity is 96.3 kWh and 101.7 kWh respectively.
The global starting price of Xiaomi YU7 is going to be around ₹29 lakh (approximately $34,750 USD). With this features and range, it is going to give tough competition to its competitors like Tesla and BYD company
